Who we are

Glasaje was started by Jeff, Sarah B, Sarah G and Alex - two couples, four friends, and one shared idea: jewellery that is solid, ethically made, and built for every day.

Our purpose

When the four of us started Glasaje, we agreed on one thing before anything else. If we were going to make jewellery, we would make it properly, or we would not make it at all.

Glasaje exists to reduce the environmental and human cost of the jewellery industry. We do this by making solid gold and silver jewellery in Melbourne, from recycled metals and lab-grown diamonds, made to order to avoid overproduction, and designed to be worn every day for a lifetime rather than replaced with the next trend. This is our purpose. Everything else on this page follows from it.

Glasaje is a Melbourne idea. As partners in life and in business, we set out to make pieces that are personal, crafted with care, built to last, and accessible without compromising on materials or process.

From delicate layering chains to sculptural statement rings, each piece is made entirely in Melbourne using 9ct solid gold and sterling silver, never plated, never filled.

Every piece starts as an order. Nothing is made until you buy it, which means nothing is wasted.

Local from the start

We do not outsource production. A commitment to local craftsmanship and ethical sourcing was a founding principle from day one. Every design is carefully considered, cast, set, polished and packed in Melbourne, Australia.

We work with Australian jewellers, casters, setters and suppliers, because how something is made matters just as much as what it looks like.

In 2026 this commitment was independently verified. Glasaje was awarded Australian Made and Owned certification, formally recognising every piece as genuinely made in Australia.

Every Glasaje piece is crafted from 100% recycled solid 9ct gold. Not gold plated. Not gold filled. Recycled solid gold, all the way through. We made this choice because fine jewellery should not come at the cost of the environment.

Our lab-grown diamonds are GIA certified and conflict-free, physically, chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds, created without land clearing, habitat destruction, or exploitative labour.

The green and gold kangaroo is Australia's most trusted mark of genuine local production, independently administered by the Australian Made Campaign Limited and awarded only to businesses that meet strict criteria. The product must be substantially transformed in Australia, and the majority of the cost of production must occur here.
